01 Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Documents Locker mobile application (“App”) published on Google Play under package name com.myworkshopy.smartdocorganizer. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
02 Description of the service
Documents Locker provides tools to store and organize personal information on your device, including credentials, notes, banking/card fields you enter, and document images. The App is provided as a productivity / personal security utility. Features may evolve over time through updates.
The App is not a bank, not a licensed financial institution, not legal advice, and not a substitute for official identity document custody requirements in your country.
03 Eligibility
You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction and, at minimum, not a child under the age restricted by applicable law (commonly 13+, or higher where required). You are responsible for compliance with local laws regarding storage of identity and financial data.
04 Your responsibilities
- Keep your device secured with a strong screen lock and up-to-date operating system.
- Decide carefully what secrets you store; you control on-device content.
- Do not rely solely on the App as your only copy of irreplaceable documents without offline backups you control.
- Use optional biometrics and category locks where appropriate.
- Comply with laws — do not use the App to store or process data you are not legally allowed to possess.
05 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the App except as allowed by law
- Attempt to bypass security features of the App or device
- Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Interfere with Google Play distribution, licensing, or integrity mechanisms
- Misrepresent affiliation with the developer
06 Intellectual property
The App, including its design, trademarks, logos, and original code, is owned by the developer or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, lawful purposes in accordance with Google Play’s terms and these Terms.
Content you enter into the vault remains yours. You grant no license to us to use vault contents because those contents are stored on your device under the current product model.
07 Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or immune from security breaches arising from device compromise, user error, OS vulnerabilities, or third-party services.
We are not responsible for any loss, deletion, corruption, or inaccessibility of data stored in the App due to device failure, operating system issues, app updates, uninstallation, factory reset, rooting, malware, backup/restore processes, or other causes outside our control. You should keep independent backups of important documents and information.
08 Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or zero if the App is free).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
09 Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop distributing the App or discontinue features. Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations, IP ownership) will survive termination.
10 Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly. Material changes may be communicated via the App listing or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent allowed by law.
11 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country provide otherwise.
